Nora invades RP

One of the memories that will make 2009 a year to remember is the trip of Leonor “Nora” Osana-Capiral to the Philippines. However short it was, 18 days, each moment lasted longer than it should.

Nora visited Olongapo-based Batch 70 classmates and had a day of meeting old friends, catching up and most of all, fun.

Along with seeing her classmates she was also happy to meet with another balikbayan, Soledad “Soly” De Castro-Paterson.

Plus, she even enjoyed eating the Filipino delicacies that cannot be found (or might not taste good enough) in San Diego.

Last Stop

After touring the city, the Ramos' residence at Bullock Drive was the last stop for the night.

Several classmates visited and tightened the bonding of Batch 70.

18 at 7/27

Eighteenth birthday celebration of Ms. Fatima Aragon Ramos, the only daughter of Ricardo "Chito" Ramos and Aurora Aragon-Ramos at the Admiral Kidd Conference Center at Point Loma, San Diego, California.

A number of classmates from the Batch 70 attended the debut with their respective spouses and daughters.

It was a spectacular affair filled with surprises, singing, dancing and most of all sumptuous food and desserts that everyone enjoyed.

Best wishes, Fatima!

Aloha from Hawaii

Thank you for Batch 70 for the beautiful fridge magnet, it is really amazing to see natural talent from fellow filipinos when it comes to art despite lack of resources and support.

Also, I want to thank Beth Garcia-Cabangis for the pressed flower calendar she sent with Jean. That was very thoughtful of you and I really appreciate it, it will be very useful for our office.

I was also very happy to see Jean and Rofely here in Hawaii, and glad they did despite their very busy schedule.

I hope to meet with some of our classmates in the near future, I am now retired and have an empty nest. My children have either married or away to college so I am hopeful to start enjoying life and meeting old friends. If any of you happen to come my way in paradise, please give me a call we have a couple of extra rooms at my house. You all have a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
