TV Sightings

Just like other balikbayan US-based Batch '70 members, we again had another sighting at the famous Wowowee show in ABS-CBN Channel 2.

Myrna Nafarrete-Clemson was sitting in the TFC subscribers' area as part of the audience. Did she dance? Was she interviewed? Find out later when today's show (March 31, 2008) will be broadcast at TFC.

Myrna was in Manila for a family reunion and will be heading back to Hawaii later tonight.

On another note, Myrna suggested that the Ruby celebration of Batch ’70 can be done in Honolulu, Hawaii.

I am back in Hawaii, I went to the airport right after the show wowowee. We had so much fun at the show, we were treated very special and we were the first to appear in the newly renovated studio and brand new lounge for the TFC subscribers. I almost felt like a celebrity with our own personal guide overpassing lines and the first group to be seated in prime spots. Everyone told me we were flashed a few times during the show (buti na lang nakapag pafacial na ako). I haven't seen it yet, my sister recorded the show for me to see later on this week. My visit was very short, I didn't even get to visit olongapo, I was just mostly in manila and the province in Palauig, zambales. I had the most fun visiting the phils., meeting with Jean and Lad, and Ebeth and husband and was treated to a great lunch buffet at the seven corners restaurant at the crowne plaza hotel in Ortigas. Very nice seeing them all and catching up and getting reacquainted again. I wish I could have stayed a little longer. Thanks Jean and Ebeth for taking the time to meet with me, I really cherish and appreciate you taking time for me. I really enjoyed it.

On another note, I have been wanting to mention (but always slips my mind) my maiden name is mispelled but everyone does it so it is not a big deal at times but for the record, my maiden name is Nafarrete not nafarette. It just looks weird to see it spelled another way (thank you). I did suggest maybe we can have a reunion here in hawaii since it is located between us and Phil. but of course it will all be up to the batch officers and members to decide since I realize there a lot more living in mainland US and Phil. It is always nice to go back to Phil and see our old high school again, nothing beats that, of course.
